About Us

A sustainable non-profit organization founded in 2020 that aims to build creativity and resilience in the Filipino youth through chess. We sustain our programs through the sale of our high-quality products and merchandise.

Many studies support that chess is a very powerful tool to develop creativity and problem solving skills. Continuous practice of the game also teaches players how to win or lose while at the same time enjoying and developing camaraderie.

To provide the underprivileged youth with an opportunity for education, growth and development through chess at minimal to no cost.

We could provide the underprivileged youth with an accessible opportunity for holistic education, growth and development through the power of chess. Through continuous engagement and practice of chess, we can grow a strong generation of Filipino youth.

    Spread the love of chess and make it accessible to the underprivileged youth through our programs and tournaments

  • Learn

    Provide training and chess materials for the underprivileged youth to help them develop holistically, enjoy and further appreciate the game of chess

  • Build

    Build youth from all sectors of society. Together we will impart our knowledge, skills, and time through our training programs, events, and other activities

How We Fullfill Our Mission

  • Building

    KBO recruits coaches and volunteers to build chess clubs and promote chess in public schools. We provide start up advice, training and resources for new coaches.

  • Training Programs

    KBO strives to continuously develop and improve training programs for both coaches and students in order to hone players’ chess skills.

  • Tournaments

    KBO hosts FREE chess tournaments for our students to assess and hone their chess abilities.

  • Chess Camps

    KBO hosts FREE chess camps to further develop players’ abilities and life skills.
